The Philbin Group worked with the GSA, architects, and contractors to design the landscape for the new U.S. Port of Entry at the Peace Arch border crossing. This large site required addressing security concerns as well as meeting LEED landscape requirements. Low maintenance drought tolerant and native planting were used throughout the site. The site was designed to offer enjoyable views for vehicles traveling through the border crossing, as well as people working and entering the new building. This project included the design of a large innovative green roof over the vehicle search area, viewable from the interstate. The Philbin Group collaborated with the architectural team to ensure that strong key concepts were carried through to construction.
